My Bio
Howdy fellow Deviants. I'm a (very) amatuer artist living in the UK. I've always enjoyed drawing but have never taken it very far due to severe laziness. So this Deviant page is my way of making sure I keep drawing and hopefully improve.
I like pretty much all types of art but really love comic book and cartoon stuff the most. Dont be surprised to see a few Marvel inspired pieces popping up as well as stuff based on my favourite games and films.
Please feel free to comment, i see a lot of very good artists around here and i'm sure you can all teach me a thing or to.

Pencil, my favorite medium. Its fast, its loose, its flexible and most importantly its forgiving. I'm sure i'm not the only one that likes seeing comic art before its inked and that drools a little bit when he sees a page of Adam Warren's Empowered art. There's a strange esoteric quality to pencil art that is not only hard to describe but is hard to produce. For want of a better phrase I call it 'life'. A good pencil sketch has life in it and my sketchbook is full of little quick sketches that I think have this quality. The problem comes when I want to 'finish' those sketches properly. I carefully try and follow all those sketchy lines with

No you're not seeing things, I really have added 3 drawings in the last week.  I've just felt a bit inspired lately and gone from one to the next with very little break in between. All those pages of practice sketches seem to have paid off too, I'm finally starting to really understand how folds in fabric work. I also think I might even have gotten the female form down. Getting a lot of people 'favouriting' my drawings too, which is great but don't be afraid to leave a comment, I really am very friendly.

Motivations a slippery bastard isnt it.  I've been jobless and poor for a year now. I knew when i moved that would be a possibility but was more than glad at the prospect of a year of practicing my drawing. So what have I done with my time? Mostly play Skyrim and DOA5, stopping only to read comics and think 'I'm definitely going to draw something after this'. So why is it I have such a hard time getting motivated? Maybe i'm put off by the thought of producing something shitty.  Deep right? But i cant be the only one with motivation issues. So what do others do to light a fire under them? I'm open to all advice the deviant community has for
